I thought their portrayal of Hades was fantastic. I love that he was funny… it helped make his menacing moments more menacing.
The only thing I don’t like (and this is strictly speaking as a mythology nerd) is that they, of course, chose the god of the underworld to portray ~Evil~. Going by the original myths, Hades was no more of an asshole than any other Olympian and was actually a lot more docile than, say, Ares or an angry Zeus…

i think they took the fact that Hades hated Zeus for tricking him into ruling the underworld, and just made him “evil” and hateful of all the gods. I would have liked a few MORE menacing parts, but i agree, i liked the humor, it contrasted his evil-ness nicely. :) two thumbs way way up. :P
